So far, the experience of learning to code has been a pretty interesting one. I knew next to nothing coming into class, but feel like I’m making a lot of progress in a short amount of time. The way I would explain the DOM is the order the code is written, all of the elements, their child elements, and so on. I liked the assignment this week for the responsive website. I set mine to change from a desktop view to a phone view once the width of the page was the same width of an iPhone. In my mind, I think of coding like a body. The html is like a skeleton, providing a structure and the contents of the webpage, and the css is cosmetic things like eye color or how big someone’s feet are. I don’t really know what I want to be doing a year from now. I want to learn a little more and see what I like to do most. I’m a really big sports fan though, so working for a company like DraftKings or anything related to sports would be really cool.
